Rooted in Spirit. Growing in Service.
Ananda Viplava is a place of practice and purpose, where meditation, meaningful work, and shared service come together in daily life
Our Story
Ananda Viplava—Blissful Revolution—was founded in 2012 with the purchase of 78 acres of forest and farmland in the Northern Catskills of New York.
From the beginning, the vision has been clear: to create a place where spiritual practice, simplicity, and service to others come together in daily life. What began as the quiet cultivation of land and community has evolved into a working farm and retreat center—offering space for reflection, connection, and transformation.
Ananda Viplava is a growing spiritual community rooted in the values of self-realization, collective well-being, and service to humanity.
More than a Retreat center
At Ananda Viplava, monks, volunteers, and guests share a daily rhythm shaped by meditation, hands-on work, nourishing meals, time in nature, and study.
Each aspect of life here supports a deeper connection—with self, with others, and with something greater.
This is more than a retreat. It’s a living experiment in conscious, cooperative living—guided by spiritual aspiration and grounded in shared service.
